Hire

Interview on the video tool you already use

Choose where your video interviews happen: Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or HRGP video. Applicants always get one HRGP link, and the page tells them where to join.

The interview stays on the applicant's hiring step in HRGP, with your notes, messages and scorecard.

How video interviews work

  1. Choose where interviews happen

On your Calendar, set Interviews on to HRGP, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. Connect your calendar first to use Google Meet or Teams.

  2. Invite the applicant

Send the invitation from the applicant's video interview step, or let them pick a time from the hours you have open.

  3. Everyone joins from one link

The HRGP meeting page shows the button to join. For Google Meet or Teams, it opens the meeting in that tool.

  4. Review and decide

Your notes, messages and interview scorecard stay on the applicant's page, so your team can see them when it decides what happens next.

Set your hours once

On the Calendar page, set the hours you are available for scheduling links, then choose where interviews happen. The screen says which one is selected and what it means for recordings. When an applicant picks a time, they only see times you offer, shown in their own time zone.

What the applicant sees

The applicant opens the link in their invitation. They don't need an account. The page gets them ready, and if they aren't let in right away, it asks them to wait a moment for the host to admit them. For Google Meet or Teams, the same HRGP page sends them to that tool, so you never have to explain which app to use.

Keep the interview fair and on record

A video step can have its own interview guide, so everyone hired for the job gets the same questions, with written answers from 1 Poor to 5 Excellent. Interviewers can open a scorecard on a phone or a tablet. Every meeting shows up under Meeting History, and upcoming interviews are on the Calendar in Month, Week and Day views.

Sharing a recording

If a manager without an HRGP login needs to see an interview, make a Share link for that recording. You can also send it by email from HRGP. Anyone who has the link can watch, so send it only to the person who needs it.

Which one should you pick?

  • HRGP video works for everyone, and recordings stay in HRGP.
  • Google Meet: recording needs a paid Google plan and saves to your Google Drive.
  • Microsoft Teams: recording needs a Microsoft 365 business plan with Teams and saves to your OneDrive.
  • Recordings in HRGP open only after signing in. To show one to someone with no account, make a Share link. It works for 7 days and you can turn it off.

Video interview questions

What if I don't choose anything?

Interviews use HRGP video. You don't need a Google or Microsoft account for that.

Do applicants need an account?

No. They join from the link in their invitation.

Are these the same as AI interviews?

No. A video interview is a live call with your team, and regular video interviews are included in the platform. An AI interview is a separate step where the applicant answers by voice on their own time. See pricing for AI interview charges.

Can I still interview in person?

Yes. In-person and phone interview steps work alongside video, and each can have its own interview guide.

Where do I see past interviews?

Under Meeting History on the Calendar page.

Can someone watch a recording without an account?

Only if you make a Share link. It works for 7 days and you can turn it off.
